Laws which prescribe licensure and regulate the practice
of professions are enacted under the police powers of this State and are
primarily for the protection of the public, which naturally includes the
protection of fellow employees whether on public or private property. The
Laws, Rules and Regulations concerning the practice of the profession of
engineering, as published herein, are intended for the guidance of public
officials whose responsibility affects engineering; for persons who seek
licensure to practice professional engineering and for all others that
they may be made fully acquainted with the meaning and intent of the Laws,
Rules and Regulations for Professional Engineers.
It is hoped that the information contained herein will
be helpful in understanding the substantive and procedural aspects of the
Statutory Law and the Rules and Regulations under which the Board
endeavors to carry out its responsibilities.
