The table below contains a list of relevant forms necessary for those who have successfully passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and want to apply for the Principles and Practice Examination (PE). The WV State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers will only accept application forms that print out exactly as the ones provided on this site. If the forms do not print out on your printer EXACTLY as they appear on the screen, contact the WV Board office to request hard copies be sent to you through postal mail. You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view and print the Adobe Acrobat PDF files or you may use Microsoft Word to open and complete the Word forms. If you do not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader program installed on your computer, you may obtain a free copy by clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" link at the bottom of this page.
Beginning January 1, 2018, NCEES started the process of converting PE exams to a computer-based format. Please visit the NCEES website at https://ncees.org/cbt to view the most up-to-date information regarding the PE exam transition to CBT, including the projected schedule for the remaining PE exams. All PE paper-and-pencil exam application deadlines remain at 90 days prior to the April and October exam dates each year. While the Board anticipates a much shorter turnaround time for new CBT PE Application reviews, CBT exam applications should still be sent to the Board at least 45 days in advance of the desired examination date. Please visit the NCEES website for more information about the new CBT PE Exams, in addition to reviewing the document in the table below entitled “NCEES PE Chemical CBT Exam Information”.
Applicants must read the WV Laws, Rules and Regulations for the engineering profession for which they are requesting licensure. Click here for information on the WV Laws, Rules and Regulations for this Board.
