In order to safeguard life, health and property and to promote the public welfare, the practice of engineering in this state is declared to be subject to regulation in the public interest. The West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is charged with the administration and enforcement of the provisions of W.Va. Code §30-13 governing the practice of professional engineering. In addition to our Annual Report publication, we track a number of items critical to our mission and continuously strive to improve and provide superior service to the engineering students, the engineering professionals, and the citizens of our great state!

It is hoped that the information contained herein will be helpful in understanding the many roles of the Board and the many stakeholders which they serve.
